   To Get Those Flies Away From Home It is a disgusting sight to see flies on the food. You cannot keep any food open for even a small fraction of time, and you will see flies sitting on the food which makes it unsuitable to eat. You get tired of trying all your home remedies and are always on the look out for better ways to destroy these flies. There are many different kinds of flies and it helps to find out which kind it is to fight them. There are certain flies usually seen in drain pipes or sewers, called Drain flies and another menace is Fruit flies which are usually seen in garbage or on rotten food. There are two other kinds which are Phorid flies and Sphaerocerid flies found anywhere not clean, like drain or garbage or rotten things.

 
 Before we start using any kind of products to get rid of flies, getting our surroundings clean including areas where we put garbage is a must. Also always keep your food in tight containers and try to avoid left over food scattered here and there. Keeping fly screen is a good way to avoid getting these inside your home. Make sure there is no hole or any damage on the fly screen. These things can get in through even small holes or cracks.

   There are something called ‘fly rolls’ available which are rolls with sticky coating on it which can be hung somewhere in the ceiling of whichever area you see lots of flies. These will catch flies whenever the flies get near them. You need to keep changing it whenever you see lots of flies stuck to it. They have color and patterns which are attractive to flies and the glue is not sticky for our fingers. There are many kinds of repellant sprays available which also helps to a great extent. Some of these natural repellent creams and sprays can be used on your body as well. Another cool product is a hand held battery operated ‘badminton bat’ like device which kills flies on contact since it has small electric current running through its mesh. This is provided with two switches for safety.
