How To Get Rid Of Millipedes

millipedesI know it doesn’t make sense but I like millipedes. But dislike its cousin, name centipede. I remember, in my childhood I use to catch just to play with them. I use to locate them, pick them up I like to see when they roll themselves in to a little protected ball. Then wait until they feel secure and unroll them and start crawling on my hand. I use to enjoy when it start walking and to see the small little legs moving in a sequence it was a sort of relaxing for me.

Let’s move on millipedes have more than 6000 species and belongs to the class of Diplopods. They are not insects at all. They are arthropods and more related to spiders as compare to bugs. They live long life of 6 to 7 years and more. They survive or eat dead plants or decaying plants. These small beauties grow new legs each time when they shed their exoskeleton and contain almost 400 total legs. When the temperature drops they find a place to hide somewhere to over winter. When the rain falls they becomes restless and because of moist they came out of their homes and enters yours. In some species they reach to sexual maturing after 5 years and lay up to 300 eggs at a time. This is why they become problem for people and find the ways of getting rid from them.
